A small, family run patch in Dural where you wander the field to find your tree — no lines, no rush.

Our Story

The Paddock Christmas Trees is a small family run farm. Every tree is hand planted, watered, and trimmed for the perfect shape — it can take four years before a tree is ready to decorate your home.

We open for just two weekends each year. There's no ticketing or rush. You wander the rows at your own pace, and once you've found your tree, we cut it down for you on the spot.

Taking care of your tree

To ensure your real Christmas tree stays fresh and vibrant throughout the holiday season, follow these simple care steps.

Fresh Cut and Hydration

When you get home, if the base has dried over, make a fresh thin cut off the bottom of the trunk. Place it in a stand that holds at least 4 litres of water immediately.

Water Daily

Christmas trees are thirsty. Check the water level daily to ensure the base of the trunk is always submerged. A tree can drink several litres of water a day in the first week.

Keep it Cool

Place your tree away from direct sunlight, heaters, and air conditioning vents. Excessive heat will cause the needles to dry out and drop prematurely.

Safety First

Ensure your Christmas lights are in good working order and turn them off when you leave the house or go to sleep to keep your tree and home safe.

Frequently asked questions

Can I tag a tree to pick up on a later date?

Yes! You're welcome to select and pay for a tree you like and collect it on any of our other opening days this season.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are more than welcome — we love seeing them! We just ask that they're kept under control, as there are often children nearby.

How long will my tree last?

With a fresh cut and water every day, a freshly cut tree will comfortably last 3–4 weeks once it's indoors. Please refer to the Taking care of your tree section above for tips on keeping it fresh for as long as possible.

Do you accept card?

Yes — we accept both cash and card on the day.
